An engine building game.
On your turn use your money to buy properties like a bakery or café and then roll 1 or 2 dice. Each property has a number from 1-12 on it and if you roll the number you get a reward. But be careful because your opponents might own a property that lets them charge you a fee.
What makes the game shine is the lack of down time between turns. Since there is the possibility of you making or taking money from others every time anyone rolls the dice, you always have a stake in what is happening.

4/5 Very Good
I'd like to play a few more times before a final review, but so far so good. It's fun but after our first few plays we never had the need to build the more advanced structures before the game was over. The winning strategy always seemed to be to spam the single dice structures. At this point I'm unsure if it was just random luck or we need to adjust our play style.

3.5/5
An excellent deck builder game. One you can teach, then play, in less than an hour. I've played this one a handful of times and enjoyed each time. However, playing the pacifist (not selecting to purchase any cards that take money from others) ended up being a poor choice - in Machi Koro, as well as in the stock market, diversification is an excellent strategy.
